Empowering Clients through Health Literacy

In observation of Health Literacy Month, ACE created a FREE resource guide for health and exercise professionals, community leaders and individuals looking for trusted, evidence-based information on physical activity.

In these PDFs, which you can find on the ACE Impact page, we answer common questions from those new to exercise or looking to get started, including:

  • What is physical fitness?

  • What is the difference between physical activity and exercise, and between physical inactivity and sedentary behavior?

  • What are some actionable tips and tricks to get moving?

According to the Institute for Healthcare Advancement, “By collectively working to improve health literacy, we’ll create a more equitable world where everyone can access high-quality care and achieve positive health outcomes.” We hope that you find this valuable to share with your networks to help increase knowledge and understanding around physical activity, so more people are empowered to get more active.
